Why Pods Work for Families

Every one of our 10 pods sleeps up to 4 — usually two adults on the double bed and two kids on the pull-out sofa bed. Each pod has its own en-suite (no traipsing across a campsite at 3am), a full kitchen, fridge, microwave, kettle, Smart TV with Freeview, free WiFi and private decking with a BBQ stand.

The pod field is traffic-free once you've parked, enclosed, and quiet. Kids can play on the grass between pods. We don't take dogs in the pod field, so the grass is clean for bare feet. (Dogs are welcome at Broadway Country House on the same site if needed.)

For bigger families — five, six, or two-couple groups — book two adjacent pods on the same dates. Each pod has its own bathroom, kitchen and decking, but you're a few steps apart. It works really well for grandparents-plus-grandkids or two siblings' families.

We're a 10-minute drive from Pendine Sands, 25 minutes from Folly Farm Adventure Park & Zoo, 20 minutes from Tenby and the National Botanic Garden of Wales. The location is the whole point — you're inside an easy radius of basically every kid-friendly thing in West Wales.

Family Days Out from the Pods

Folly Farm Adventure Park & Zoo (25 min drive). Zoo animals, vintage funfair, indoor play barn for rainy days. The standard West Wales family day out — easy half-day or full-day depending on stamina.

Pendine Sands (10 min drive). Seven miles of flat sand, plus the Museum of Speed for the petrol-head kid. The closest beach by a long way.

Tenby beach (20 min drive). Classic bucket-and-spade day — pastel houses, ice cream, harbour boats. Park early in summer.

National Botanic Garden of Wales (30 min drive). Treehouse trail, butterfly house, the world's largest single-span glasshouse. Good wet-weather option.

Dinner without driving. The on-site restaurant at Broadway Country House (broadwaycountryhouse.co.uk) does kid-friendly mains, two minutes' walk from the pod. Or order Pizza Point or Elaichi Indian to the pod and put a film on.

Family Glamping — Common Questions

Each pod sleeps up to 4 guests — typically two adults on the double bed and two children (or a third/fourth adult) on the sofa bed. Bedding and towels for two are included; additional guests are £20pp/night for bedding, towels and pillows. For families of 5 or 6, book two pods next to each other.

We don't supply cots or high chairs as standard, but the pods are step-free single-storey units so stair gates aren't needed. Travel cots and high chairs are available locally — message the team after booking and we'll point you to the nearest hire option.

Yes — Folly Farm Adventure Park & Zoo (25 min drive) is the big one for under-12s: zoo animals, vintage funfair rides, indoor play barn. Pendine Sands (10 min) is seven miles of flat beach perfect for kites and bodyboards. The National Botanic Garden of Wales (30 min) has a treehouse trail and butterfly house. Tenby beach (20 min) is the classic bucket-and-spade day.

No — dogs aren't allowed in the pod field. If you'd like to bring the dog, Broadway Country House on the same site allows dogs in selected rooms — talk to that team direct. The pod field stays dog-free so kids can roam barefoot on the grass.

Every pod has a fully-equipped kitchen with hob, microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster — easy to cook the standards. Pizza Point (01994 231300) and Elaichi Indian (01994 230070) deliver to the site. The Broadway Country House restaurant on site does kid-friendly mains. Carmarthen Tesco and Lidl are 20 minutes away for a big shop.

The pod field is enclosed, traffic-free once you've parked, and very quiet — kids can play on the grass between pods. Hot tubs are on private decking attached to each pod and parents are responsible for supervision. There's no on-site playground, but Folly Farm and Pendine cover that side.
