1. Our commitment
Pods @ Broadway is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, regardless of ability or technology. We aim to meet the
WCAG 2.2 Level AA standard.
This site was self-assessed against WCAG 2.2 AA on 18 June 2026 using a combination of automated testing (axe) and manual keyboard and screen-reader testing.
2. What we do
- All interactive elements are reachable by keyboard, with a visible focus ring.
- A skip-to-content link is available at the top of every page for screen-reader and keyboard users.
- Images carry descriptive alternative text where they convey meaning.
- Decorative animation respects the
prefers-reduced-motion system setting.
- Body text holds a contrast ratio of 4.5:1 or higher against its background; large headings 3:1 or higher.
- Forms have visible labels, inline error messages and ARIA attributes.
- The site works without JavaScript for content-only pages, and degrades gracefully where JS is needed.
3. Known limitations
We are working to address the following:
- The hero video on the homepage is decorative: it is self-hosted, auto-plays muted and on a loop, is not keyboard-focusable, and is not loaded at all when
prefers-reduced-motion is set. It does not, however, offer a visible play/pause control.
- Our booking pages at book.podsatbroadway.co.uk are operated by our booking engine provider, eviivo, and follow their accessibility standard rather than ours. If you have difficulty booking online, please call us on 01994 427 969 and we will take your booking over the phone.
- The Stripe Checkout flow used for gift vouchers is operated by Stripe and follows their accessibility standard, which we do not control directly.
