For the past seven weeks, much like the rest of the UK we have been doing renovations and painting. So, we have taken the time to give a lick of paint where needed, varnish the decking’s and replace all the ropes. When we do re open it will look fresh and new. Not that the site is old we are going into our third year!

The gardeners have also been out in the lovely weather and making the most of the lock downtime. We have also taken the time to walk around the footpath and enjoy the grounds the pods are on.

Since we opened earlier this year we’ve been overwhelmed by all the great reviews we’ve received on Facebook, Trip Advisor and Eviivo.

Pods @ Broadway are wonderfully located within a short distance from a host of family friendly attractions across Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire, making it a great choice for your Summer family holiday. And to help you out with your holiday planning we’re going to give you a few ideas on days out during your stay with us.

1. Laugharne Castle – a visit to Laugharne isn’t complete without a visit to the imposing castle at the centre of the village. Overlooking the estuary the castle will take your breath away, and to keep the children busy they can pretend to be the king and queen of the castle.  


2. Pendine Museum of Speed – Open every day throughout the Summer the museum overlooks the long beach made famous by the world land speed record. The main exhibit is Parry-Thomas’s ‘Babs’, the car which took that record in 1926. The next year, Babs was buried in the sands after Parry-Thomas was killed in another speed attempt. After 42 years she was restored to her former glory. After a visit to the museum how about a walk along the beach and an ice cream?

3. Tenby – The seaside town of Tenby is as traditional as it gets for Summer days out. A walled town to explore, shop and eat fish and chips in, and long sandy beaches to build sand castles on. Followed by a walk to the harbour and possibly even a boat trip out to sea?


4. Folly Farm – Truly a family day out, you can enjoy the zoo and farm animals including penguins, lions, giraffes and more. Followed by a wonder around the fairground and play area, with all sorts of rides and activities to keep the children entertained for hours.

5. National Botanic Garden of Wales – Located inland from Pods @ Broadway, this is a great place to visit in the sunshine. Beautiful gardens to explore, a butterfly house, childrens play area and giant maze.

Since opening our doors in early June we’ve welcomed some lovely guest to Pods @ Broadway. A lot of you are new to glamping and unsure what to expect, and it’s wonderful to see your reactions when you arrive and settle into your cosy pods. We’ve been overwhelmed by the support and just wanted to share some of the lovely reviews which we’ve received on Facebook since opening:

“Just back from a 2 nights stay here, and I can’t recommend this place enough! I stayed in ‘tree tops’ right at the top of the field. Spotlessly clean, the most comfy bed I have slept in (even in luxury hotels!) piping hot shower with better water pressure than my own place! The kitchen has everything you need. The staff can’t do enough for you! Had pizza one night kindly delivered to my pod, was delicious! Perfect location for Laugharne, Tenby (half hour away) and Pendine down the road. Just wish I could have stayed longer. The grounds are still being done, but when it’s completed the place will be perfect. Come rain or shine, it’s a fantastic place to stay! Far more superior than typical glamping! Can’t wait to come back again very soon!!! Problem is hope I can get booked back in as I can see these being very popular! Diolch ”

Pods @ Broadway is located on site at Broadway Country House and on the 2^nd of July we’ll be opening our doors for our first ever wedding showcase event. Having welcomed and celebrated with brides and grooms for 10 years, now’s the opportunity to mark this milestone and show future couples what’s on offer at the wonderful wedding venue.

Potential brides and grooms and their family and friends are invited to visit Broadway Country House between 11.30 – 4.00pm on the 2^nd of July, where the venue will be set up as it would be on a wedding day. This will give visitors a real flavour of our venue, making it easier for potential couples to picture their special day.

In addition to this, local suppliers such as florists, venue décor, and other wedding essentials will be on hand to assist couples in their wedding day decisions.

Over the last 10 years Broadway Country House has been the location to hundreds of weddings and the team are looking forward to showing people around the venue.

To add to the occasion, the officially opening of Pods @ Broadway  will take place on the day. You’ll have the opportunity to have a look around the pods, and see how they can provide additional accommodation to your wedding guests.

Following the showcase at 4.30pm, Audio Sugar Acoustic Band will be playing a set to celebrate the opening of the pods.

The team at Pods @ Broadway and Broadway Country House said; ‘This is our 10^th year at Broadway Country House and we wanted to celebrate by inviting people to see our wonderful venue. The development of the pods has been an exciting project for us this year and it will be great to show people around them as well as the rest of the venue. As a family run business we look forward to seeing everyone on the 2^nd of July. We’ll also be serving Sunday lunch in the restaurant, so why not make a day of it?’
